Indications:
Constipation Presenting with difficult bowel movements, hard, dry or pellet-like stools, dry, lusterless skin and nails, pale nails, lips and inner eyelids, dry mouth, thirst, may be accompanied by dizziness.

Standard Dosage:
9-10 (4.5 - 5 teaspoons) grams per day.
Clinical Dosage:
For children aged 3-7 up to 1/3 of the adult dosage, and for children aged 7-13 up to 1/2 of the adult dosage. May be mixed with juice or milk. Administer half an hour before or one hour after eating. In the initial phases of treatment a small dose of 4-5 grams daily is usually used. Dose should be increased until a smooth bowel movement is achieved, then reduced to the minimum required to give a result. May be administered for medium-term use for a few weeks to a few months. It is often administered along with a constitutional formula as a long-term treatment for chronic constipation, and the dosage of this formula is gradually reduced as the condition improves.
Ingredients:
Prunus persica seed, Linum usitatissimum seed, Notopterygium incisium root, Angelica sinensis root, Rheum palmatum root. - Tao ren, Ya ma zi, Qiang huo, Dang gui, Da huang.
Cautions & Contraindications:
Contraindicated during pregnancy and menstruation. Use with caution in breast-feeding women as Da huang/rhubarb can pass through the breast milk causing colic and diarrhea in infants. Contains tree nuts.
